Investor information notice

Investor Data Handling

This notice explains how information submitted through Beryxa’s investor inquiry process is handled. It applies to information provided to determine whether an independent investment assessment is appropriate and, where agreed, to deliver that assessment.

Draft pending legal review

This draft records Beryxa’s current operating practices and a proposed retention schedule. It is not yet a final published legal notice.

1. Purpose of processing

Beryxa uses investor inquiry information to evaluate whether an independent investment assessment is appropriate, respond to the inquiry and, if an engagement is agreed in writing, carry out and deliver that assessment.

Submitting an inquiry does not begin an assessment or create an engagement.

2. Information submitted

The inquiry requests contact and investor-role details, information about the company and potential investment, the decision and thesis being considered, available evidence, material uncertainty, expected timing and other diligence activity.

Investors should provide only what is necessary to determine assessment fit. A full investment memo, confidential data room or other unnecessary confidential material is not required at this stage.

3. Access and confidentiality

Within Beryxa, access to investor inquiries and assessment materials is currently limited to Beryxa’s founder, Aryan Singh Yadav. No other Beryxa team member currently has access.

Necessary service providers and platform infrastructure may process information as described below. Their access is separate from access by Beryxa personnel.

4. Third-party tools and processing

Beryxa’s inquiry form uses Resend, an email delivery provider, to transmit the inquiry to Beryxa and send a confirmation to the investor. Those messages contain the information submitted through the form.

Beryxa uses ChatGPT in its assessment workflow. Investor materials may be processed through ChatGPT where required to carry out an agreed assessment. Beryxa does not currently use other AI tools in that workflow.

Information may also be processed by service providers necessary to operate Beryxa’s services, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.

5. Model training

Model training is disabled for the ChatGPT account Beryxa uses. This describes Beryxa’s current account setting; it is not a claim that information is never retained in, or immediately deleted from, third-party systems or backups.

6. Retention and deletion

Proposed schedule — legal review required

  • Unaccepted inquiries would be retained for up to 90 days after the last contact.
  • Assessment materials for accepted engagements would be retained for up to 12 months after delivery or termination.
  • Final deliverables and transaction records would be retained only as required for legitimate business, legal, tax and accounting purposes.

Investors may request access to, correction of or deletion of their personal information by emailing privacy@beryxa.com. Beryxa will review and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law.

Deletion may be limited where information must be retained for legal, regulatory, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes, or where copies remain temporarily in service-provider systems or backups. Beryxa does not claim deletion from systems it does not control.

7. Disclosure

Beryxa does not disclose investor inquiry details or assessment materials to other investors, startups or unrelated third parties without appropriate authorization, except where disclosure is required by law.

Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate Beryxa’s services, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.

8. Contact

Questions and requests concerning investor information may be sent to privacy@beryxa.com. The general Privacy Policy provides additional information about Beryxa’s handling of personal information.
